I've volunteered every year for the Boston Asian American Film Festival since 2019, and it's one of my favorite things- I've made life long friends, met really cool film makers, and have seen some inspiring films.
One of volunteer roles I opted for was animating the logos for the festival, which has been fun, though I would receive files that weren't conducive for animation- which greatly frustrated my wife and I. We asked to be able to design a logo for the 2024 Festival, and they agreed!
Thankfully it was accepted well and folks seemed to really like it. I really enjoyed hearing the audience reception and the folks that were excited to wear it as a shirt. I've included the process for how we arrived at the final project.
